About the Conference
Ecology of Spirit IV: The Anthropological Challenges of the Modern World — What Does It Mean to Be Human Today?
The 21st century introduces radical changes in human self-understanding, identity, and lived experience. Global technological development, digital culture, biopolitical processes, ecological crisis, and political tensions reveal new anthropological challenges that affect the human body, mind, soul, and social relationships.
The conference “Ecology of Spirit IV” continues the research tradition of previous years and offers an interdisciplinary platform where theologians, philosophers, cultural scholars, social scientists, and practitioners from the humanities jointly examine the question: What does it mean to be human in today’s technocentric age?
In a world increasingly shaped by digital mediation, we are witnessing social atomization and a crisis of humanism and human relationships. Therefore, it is once again essential to seek answers to fundamental questions: What is the true vocation of the human person? How can humanity be preserved in the digital world, and what responses are possible to the ethical challenges posed by artificial intelligence?
