Opening of the memorial exposition of Professor Roberts Akmentiņš

Pastor Dr. Roberts Akmentiņš (27 January, 1910 – 20 May, 1994) is one of the most prominent pastors of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Latvia in the last century. Celebrating the 110th birthday of Roberts Akmentiņš, on Monday, 27 January at 7:00 p.m., a memorial exhibition dedicated to R.Akmentiņš will be opened in the auditorium named after him at the Luther Academy.

Opening of the memorial photo exhibition of Edgars Rumba at Luther Academy

Celebrating 115 years since the birth of the outstanding Latvian Lutheran theologian Reverend Dr. theol. Edgars Rumba, in the framework of the Church History Day, the “Professor Roberts Feldmanis Foundation" in cooperation with the Luther Academy is organizing the opening of E.Rumba’s memorial photo exhibition at 10:00 a.m. on June 1, in the auditorium named after him. The photo exhibition, which will remain in the auditorium from now on, will show E. Rumba's short but intense life, supplemented with quotes from his works.

Starptautiska tikšanās “Konfesionāli luterisko Baznīcu izglītība”

Laikā no 26. līdz 28.martam, pēc Lutera Akadēmijas iniciatīvas, Rīgā un Saldū notika pirmā konfesionālo luterisko Baznīcu augstskolu un semināru pārstāvju tikšanās. Viesi bija no Oberurzulas, St.Pēterburgas, Novosibirskas, Gēteborgas, Kembridžas un Odesas.

Otrdien, 29.janvārī plkst.17:30-19:00 Lutera Akadēmijā notiks tikšanās ar koptu kristieti Amiro Hannu. Amiro Hanna, telekomunikāciju inženieris no Ēģiptes, nu jau vairākus gadus dzīvo Latvijā un ir Krimuldas draudzes loceklis. Amiro Hanna iepazīstinās mūs ar koptu vēsturi, kristietības vēsturi Ēģiptē (koptu Baznīcu) no evaņģēlista Marka laikiem līdz 451.g. Halkedonas koncilam.
